The Art
What is Kali?
Kali — also known as Arnis or Escrima — is the national martial art of the Philippines. It is one of the world's oldest and most complete fighting systems, built around weapons first and empty hands second.
Practitioners train with rattan sticks, knives, and improvised weapons before progressing to open-hand techniques. The logic is simple: if you can handle a weapon, your empty hands become even more effective.
Kali is practical, adaptable, and accessible. You don't need to be an athlete or have any prior martial arts experience. You just need to show up.

Complete Beginners
Never trained before? Perfect. Kali is taught progressively and every session is designed to be accessible from day one. You'll be learning real techniques from your very first class.
Self-Defence Seekers
Kali is one of the most practical self-defence systems in the world. Its weapons-first approach builds instinctive, effective responses that work under pressure — not just in the gym.
Cross-Trainers
Already train in another martial art? Kali will sharpen your footwork, timing, and weapons awareness in ways that complement almost any system. Many of our members come from other disciplines.
